選挙準備を優先…民主・河上議員、目立つ国会欠席（読売新聞）
参院選京都選挙区（改選定数２）にくら替え出馬予定の河上満栄(みつえ)・民主党衆院議員（３９）（比例近畿ブロック、当選１回）が、立候補表明した３月３１日以降、国会にほとんど出席していないことがわかった。
京都府内で選挙準備をしており、読売新聞の取材に、「個人の判断ではなく、党の指示に従った。日々の活動は党の方針を訴え、府民の声を聞くというまさに政治家の仕事そのものだ」と話しているが、国会出席より選挙準備を優先させる姿勢には疑問の声も上がりそうだ。
衆院事務局によると、河上氏は４〜５月に開かれた計１５回の本会議のうち、４月６日の１回だけしか出席せず、残り１４回は横路孝弘議長に欠席届を提出。所属する農林水産委員会、消費者問題特別委員会も同期間で出席は各１回だった。
河上氏は参院選の立候補に伴う自動失職まで議員を続ける意向で、１２９万７０００円の歳費と１００万円の文書通信交通滞在費が毎月支払われ、６月３０日には期末手当約２７２万７０００円も支給される。
